Methodology
How the Nursing School Odds Calculator Works
The calculator is designed to reduce uncertainty, not predict admissions outcomes with certainty.
Inputs used by the estimate
The model starts with estimated seat pressure, then adjusts for overall GPA, science GPA, entrance exam score, prerequisite completion, healthcare or volunteer experience, essay and interview readiness, degree fit, and state match.
Program data includes GPA targets, entrance exam fields, prerequisites, deadlines, seats, estimated applicants, accreditation, source links, and a last-reviewed date where available.
What the estimate does not do
It does not access a school's private applicant pool, faculty review notes, interview results, essay scores, background check rules, or final ranking formula. It is not a guarantee of admission.
Admissions decisions are made by schools. Always verify requirements and deadlines with the university or college before applying.
Frequently asked questions
Why can two schools show different odds for the same student?
Each program can have different GPA targets, entrance exam expectations, seats, estimated applicants, prerequisites, and degree type.
Can the calculator replace advising?
No. It supports planning, but students should still use official school pages and academic advisors.
